In 2015, the inaugural year of the Prize, entries must be executed primarily in a paint medium on a 2D support. Entry cost is $30 per artwork. Prizes are as follows: Major Acquisitive First Prize: $15,000 Local Art Prize: $3,000 People’s Choice: $1,000

6 February 2015 The Bundaberg Arts Festival
The Bundaberg Arts Festival is the Bundaberg region's longest running competitive arts exhibition with more than $14,000 in awards - provided by the Bundaberg region's businesses - over 27 categories, covering sculpture, textiles, digital art, photography, painting, pencil and more.

The festival starts with Opening Night on March 7th at 7:00PM, with works on show from March 8th through March 14th, from 9:00AM to 5:00PM daily.

Early bird tickets for Opening Night can be ordered via the Entry Form on the Bundaberg Arts Festival website for $15. Tickets purchased at the door will be $20.

9 February 2015 The World Illustration Awards
The World Illustration Awards are open to illustrators in any country working in ANY medium or context. Work must be entered as either a New Talent entry or a Professional entry. New Talent entrants are Undergraduate Students, Post-Graduate Students or Graduates within two years of graduation. Professional entrants are all other professional illustrators.Work entered for the competition must have been created or published between 1st January 2014 to 15th February 2015*. Work in ANY medium can be entered in ANY category
2 March 2015 ART-Town
Painters, illustrators, photographers, street artists, sculptors – ART-Town is calling for artists from across Australia to participate in this unique live art making experience.  ART-Town invites expressions of interest from artists to create a work of art in-situ in the Chapel Street Precinct over two weekends, Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 March and Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 April 2015.
27 March 2015 Strand Ephemera
Strand Ephemera began in 2001 and became a biennial exhibition from that time. The event has grown over the years to be loved not only locally, but as an outdoor sculpture exhibition of state and national significance.

In 2013, Strand Ephemera was displayed for 10 days and left an indelible mark. Over 60,000 participants embraced the event with unprecedented enthusiasm; taking part in the Photographic Competition, voting in the Wilson/Ryan/Grose Lawyers People’s Choice Award, joining in tours and workshops, and of course admiring the 31 artworks on display. It is anticipated the 2015 event will continue to build on this success.

31 March 2015 Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2016
Expressions of Interest Now Open
Exhibition dates 12 March – 3 April 2016
The Lorne Sculpture Biennale formally known as Lorne Sculpture was launched in 2007, and has grown to be a significant exhibition within the Australian sculptural scene.  The exhibition is presented within the beautiful coastal town of Lorne, nestled along the Great Ocean Road, Victoria with its unspoilt bush, pristine surf beach and grand coastal vistas. Lorne Sculpture Biennale 2016 will showcase the expanded definition of what contemporary sculpture is, and can be. Proposals are sought from artists who work within the contemporary sculptural realm.
